Connect with people through ministries at WOG and work collectively to make an impact in the kingdom. Students, young adults and adults all come together as a body of believers in different facets of ministries to advance the mission of leading the world to worship God through serving, loving, evangelizing and discipleship.

Our Ministries

The purpose of this ministry is to improve and maintain communication between partners. As husbands and wives, we enjoy the love of God being unleashed through our marriage and our family. We are determined to walk in our full potential as children of God. A marriage based on a foundation of biblical principles, is not only workable, but offers the most fulfilling relationship humanly possible. Our ministry is meant to encourage and challenge couples, in their spiritual journey, by getting them into God’s word.

Our mission is to draw women into a strong relationship with Christ and to enhance our relationship with each other in order to make an impact on the community and the world around us.

FIYYA exists for the purpose of facilitating the spiritual development of young people. The Youth Ministry seeks to address the complex needs of young people and provide creative outlets for youthful energy.

Are you 63+ years young or retired? Then join us for a relaxed time of camaraderie designed to encourage fellowship among our dynamic seniors at WOG!  The Seniors Ministry provides opportunities to fellowship and actively participate in the life of WOG.  If you’re looking to build friendships with other people who are in a similar life stage then you’ve found the right place!

As greeters our job is very simple.  We show the loving kindness of Christ to everyone who choose to worship with us.  We seek to eliminate fear and encourage the love of Christ by the beauty of a smile, kind words, a loving handshake or a brief hug when someone enters into our church doors.

The Culinary Ministry truly demonstrates Christian service, as written in Colossians 3:23. The Culinary Ministry works diligently to show its care, compassion and love for God’s people by providing nutritious and delicious food.   The Ministry glorifies God in all we do through food service.

The Health Ministry exists for the purpose of providing basic assistance to distress, or needy worshipers, First Aid, and assistance to the Pastor. The Health and Wellness Ministry seeks to facilitate, train, and provide service as needed.

At WOG, our transportation ministry provides a means of transportation for all who are in need and desire to come to worship at WOG or a WOG event.  Our volunteers are eager to help by providing a safe and convenient way for seniors, youth, and anyone interested in attending various church services and functions.

The White Oak Grove Security Ministry is designed to provide a peaceful, safe environment which is conducive to teaching, learning, working, living, and sharing in the word of our Lord and Savior.  The ministry will work through its dedicated members to provide physical and emotional security to its member, visitors and associates when attending functions of the church. The vision of White Oak Grove Security Program is to assist in reducing crime against the church by providing a security program that acts as a deterrent for criminals so that they will not make WOG a target.

The Usher’s Ministry exists for the purpose of directing the congregants within the worship experience and in assisting with the comfort and other needs of the worshipers. The Usher’s Ministry seeks to aid the Pastor, or Worship Leader in orchestrating orderly worship services.

The ministry has many responsibilities that include setting the atmosphere for a move of God, inspiring others to experience the presence of the Lord, ministering and bringing comfort to those who need encouragement and using music as a way of supporting and embracing the vision of the ministry.

The purpose of the Pastor’s Aide Ministry is to lovingly serve our Pastor through prayers, planning, encouraging words/deeds, and financial support. Understanding how he humbles himself in serving God and denies himself in giving preference to others, our ministry is ultimately to edify our shepherd which God has placed over our church.

Responsible for setup, maintenance, coordination, and use of the church’s audio, visual, and lighting technology used during services and for other special on-and-off site events. The ministry’s mission is to glorify God by ensuring that His Word and our praise and song to Him is seen and heard clearly and without distraction or interference within our local church and throughout the world as it is broadcasted or distributed on media with the highest video and audio quality available.

Missions Work

We believe it is one of our responsibilities to carry the Gospel and everything it stands for to those in need. Our ability to be examples of true Christian living is shown in how we treat those in our communities, towns and beyond. Although we believe, as well as participate, in carrying on missions throughout the world, our primary focus are those missions that are close to home.  We believe in feeding the hungry, providing shelter for those who are homeless, and clothing to those in need. Our efforts are seen throughout this city and beyond.

Jesus said to his disciples in Matthew 28:18-20 (NKJV) “Go therefore and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all things that I have commanded you….” This scripture is known as the great commission. It is Jesus’ expectation that you impart into others what he has imparted into you, through the example of righteous living.

A few of our local missions include our partnership with the Urban Ministry to spiritually and physically feed their clients every 5th Sunday of the month and providing outreach ministry to the homeless each 4th Saturday of the month.  We also partner with our public schools to provide food, clothing and mentoring to elementary, middle and high school students.
